Help me march for Spirit of Atlanta

Hello my name is Katie Gulledge, I am so happy to announce that I will yet again be marching this summer with Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps in the color guard. Last summer I fell in love with Spirit and its family atmosphere, along with being a part of the very first ever Delta Diamonds. From learning a varitey of life lessons to being a better peformer, to all the unbreakable frienships I made, I cannot wait to be back, surrounded by the people and activity I love. Getting offered the opportunity to return as a veteran memeber for the 2016 season means the world to me especially with it being the 40th Anniversary of Spirit.

I have always been amazed by this activity and I could not wait for my chance to march after seeing my brother march with Carolina Crown. After recieving that first opportunity this past season I was hooked. The intense strive for excellance and perfection is addiciting. Being surrounded by people who love the same activity that you do is comforting. Seeing the faces in the crowd and hearing the roars of their screams when you deliver them the best high energy and entertaing performance you thought you ever had is the most rewarding experience I have ever been through. This activity isn't just about performing around the country though, it is also about shaping the future leaders of our society. Through Spirit I learned teamwork, time management, professionalism, along with becoming a better musician and performer. I would not trade all the blood, sweat, and tears I gave to this activity for all the money in the world... Unless the money was to help me pay to march again. Which leds me to the financial commitment of this beautiful activity. The money paid for my tuition also goes to pay for instruments, equipment, uniforms, instruction, and facility rental, as well as transportation, food, and housing during the tour. The tuition does not include travel to and from camp, guard gloves, show makeup, electrical tape, laundry days, and extra spending on free days. Any donations are greatly appreciated! Whether it's $5.00 or $500.00.

Thank you for helping me be a Delta Diamond once again, I'm really looking forward to spending my summer with my Spirit of Atlanta family!
