I have posted this message on the Facebook group. Here is a copy and pasted version:
Good morning everyone. $33,616 dollars is unbelievable and that's all I'll say about that.
As for tomorrow, 10 AM graveside at Forest Lawn in Ruston, it's appreciated if that is just family and friends. Please no general public.
1 PM will be the public service at Trinity Methodist to which everyone is welcome.
After the services, the family will need private time together at a separate location. This is why I am opening my home to family, friends, and extended circle of friends (if you know Ari at all, you are welcome, doesn't matter if you know me) for food and visitation time for all of the people who have traveled in from so far. We have already arranged for ice, plates, cups, cutlery and folding tables. If anyone could get their hands on some folding chairs or tailgate chairs and help bring them that would be phenomenal. There is plenty of room in the house and yards, but seating is limited at this time, so anything helps. Also I have a few guys getting together large food trays of Cane's chicken. Any other drinks, 2 liters, side dishes (store bought or prepared are more than fine) and main dishes like meat or chicken items like casseroles would be greatly appreciated to be brought by today or tomorrow. I know I am asking a lot, but we are expecting a large turnout and myself and a few friends are paying for all of this ourselves. No money from the funeral fund will be touched for this, you have my word. The family will be coming by to visit at this event after they have had some time to themselves.
My address is 1209 Dubach Avenue, Ruston, LA, 71270.(Easy to find on Google maps) It is right off of Tech Drive in Ruston. Very easy to find, left side of the street. There is a large gravel lot at the beginning of the street for parking when my driveway (I have 9 people in town staying at my house) and street side are filled. Please message me via Facebook or text with any questions.
Thank you for helping clarify the last couple of comments Angela. It is true that Ari would like to use additional funds to help the other side of the family. He and I have discussed this in great detail and I can assure you it will happen. Also, his entire family lives on the East Coast (many in North Carolina area) and many of them have to fly in and get hotels. Though a couple of family members have already refused reimbursement, I would still like to help the remaining members who are having a tough time affording it. A separate group has already paid for Ari's mother's plane ticket from North Carolina, and also another group of friends is helping his 7 month pregnant sister fly in from her home in London. These are just a few of the things that the money is going towards. I hope this helps. If you are still uncomfortable donating, your prayers and support are more than enough.
In response to your comment Randa Lowe, yes some services have been donated, but not all, there are still substantial costs associated with the two burial plots (they will be side by side) and two caskets and countless other expenses. I can assure you that this money will go directly to funeral expenses. I have discussed a lot of things with Ari, and if there is any leftover money then he would like to help out the mother's family as well in their time of grieving. If there is a lot left over, we have discussed some options such as a small memorial possibly at a park or the girls' school, or even a possible scholarship or something of that nature.
I appreciate the overwhelming support and so does Ari! Keep up the great work guys!
10:45 AM a mere 17 hours in and we have raised $12,355 so far! The response has been so incredible that I have raised our goal to $25,000. I KNOW we can attain this! I don't know yet how much they will need, but I know how much we're going to get for them!
A dear friend of mine, Ari Forbis, has lost his two beautiful daughters to a disturbing tragedy. Adeleen Forbis 4, and Laila Forbis 3, were the victims of an unspeakable and undeserving act of violence. Ari is a loving father who had his precious daughters taken away from him far too early. No child or family deserves what has happened to them. Ari does not know I am setting this up for his family, and I plan to help him defer some of the costs of the funeral for his two little angels. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
In this BROKEN World We live in such HARDSHIP/Confusing times caused by the devil; he is a powerful adversary but my Bible says In Luke 10:17-20 Jesus sends out the Seventy Two and said: The seventy-two returned with joy and said:
“Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
