Church Property in the Philippines

I am excited to announce I will be traveling to the Philippines to meet Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Churches of The Philippines, Jesse Felix. Several weeks ago I reached out to my friend Stewart Caldwell in hopes of being connected with a church that could use some help in the Philippines. Stewart shared that he had a friend (Jesse) a man with a vary wide mission including teaching the tribes in  Mindanao and spending time with The Manila Police Department. Shortly after I contacted Jesse asking him if he could use an extra hand for a couple weeks. I received a response from Jesse not long after excited about the potential of having me come to the Philippines. Jesse had said that both he and his church family had been praying for someone to come and help and that he believes that this is an answered prayer.  After communicating with Jesse I was made aware that the biggest problem they are facing is church property. Jesse has been planting churches in the city for 10+ years now but currently at a pioneering stage due to a lack of finances to buy a church lot property. As of right now they are renting a church venue and are constantly moving one place to another. This has had an effect on church attendance. Inspite of these obstacles they were able to rent two churches in different areas. Three months ago they decided to start raising local funds to help purchase a church property in Cavite. They have raised 100,000 pesos which is equivalent to 2,000 dollars. This project is estimated to cost just over 15,000 dollars. FTCP set a target goal for November of this year, which is when I am suppose to arrive. I as well as Jesse do not believe that this was an accident. Jesse, I believe said it best “It is the will of God and it is his timing”.  My hope is to help Jesse and his FTCP family raise money for this project.
