On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, my primary care doctor shared devastating news that I had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. Since then, I have taken steps to determine the stage of cancer I have.
On November 2, 2018, I received the most overwhelming and heartbreaking news any person should hear, “You have Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma.” Learning to understand the illness is tough and especially all that come with it. It’s honestly been tougher on my mind than my body. I am beyond thankful for the love and support that I have. It truly means the world to me.
For those who are not aware of this disease, I have some background for you. The cancer that I have is a rare form of lymphoma called Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkins Lymphoma (NLPHL). The cancer has spread through other lymph nodes within my body which is causing my body to produce increased white blood cells.
The next 5 months of chemotherapy are going to be one of the most difficult times of my life, but with the love I have and care from my family and friends, and medical surrounding me I WILL make it through just fine. During this journey I will be taking a leave of absence form work because of treatment. I created this account for those who would like to help with my fundraising The money raised will go towards my medical bills - any help would be much appreciated.
After my treatment is over, I will never take my health or independence for granted. I AM A BEAST. I WILL FIGHT & BEAT THIS CANCER LIKE A BEAST!
