On May 15th, 2019 my love Mina got through the gate, I panicked and knew I had to get to her and save her due to her being deaf and partially blind. When my mom blinked I pushed the gate sideways and made my way to her. She was safe! However, I was not. After that... everything was a blur, I knew a train had hit me but I didn’t understand why my mom was so panicked. My mom told me that I would be ok and how much she loved as she rushed me to the hospital to save my life.
My leg was barely attached but my heart was too erratic to do surgery that night. The next morning my life changed forever, we found out my leg was damaged to save. Therefore, amputation was necessary.
After that tragic night I am still a happy and healthy BIG boy and I enjoy life to the fullest!! I love playing at daycare, chasing my favorite ball, chasing my fur brothers and sisters, and most of all snuggling with my humans!!
Now my journey is taking another turn. Due to my size, young age, and energy my weight is being distributed unevenly which putting to much pressure on my right leg, wrist, shoulder, and core. Since I am only 2 years old, my doctors feel that it is important that I get a prosthetic leg to help me continue to live a full life. If I don’t arthritis will set in and could eventually wear away other joints in my good right leg.
So my friends, as much as my mom hates to ask... we are hoping that some of you can help me get a new prosthetic leg by my third Birthday to make me whole again!!
In addition, my mom will be fundraising for my Birthday wish by doing play groups, nail trims, and other activities. Check out my Facebook page for further updates.
