memorial services for Jaxson Vaughn

Jaxson is now 6 years old and is on the transplant list for his 2nd heart transplant on status 1b. He has been on the list for 957 days. We are very hopeful that his new heart will come soon, but we never know exactly when it will come. 3 years ago when he fell ill, his mother Kandiss had to up and move to Dallas to be close to Children's Hospital, leaving behind her family, friends, job, apartment and had to put most of her things in storage. He has now been approved for a nurse, which will give Kandiss time to possibly find a job. When his transplant does come, she will have to put a pause on working for awhile. Bills don't stop and we hope we can continue to bless them in anyways we can. Anything helps ❤️Here is some of Jaxsons story.
Jaxson was born June 8, 2012 . He was born with a large heart and his left valve didnt function properly. He was diagnosed with Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy. Jaxson began to show signs of heart failure at 3 months. He was immediately listed on the transplant list in October 2012 on status 1A (highest priority). Jax waited a long almost 9 months for his heart transplant and recieved a new heart May 23, 2013.  He was doing well until he became sick and it became  too much for his heart.  It was also discovered that he had TCAD
( Transplant Coronary Artery Disease). The only way to fix TCAD is through transplant. He was listed again for the 2nd time November 25,2015. He had a broviac placed so that he can continuously  receive heart medication.  He carries his bag containing his pump and medication like a champ!
Jaxson is an active  little boy, trying to live a normal life. He is overcoming daily obstacles, achieving new thing in physical therapy every week and is about to start homeschool  since he is unable to attend public school.
