Ava Gardner - Fashion Icon Exhibit
Donation protected
Each year the Ava Gardner Museum creates new exhibits for the Ava Gardner Festival. This year the museum seeks to build new exhibit cases for the Ava Gardner, Fashion Icon exhibit which will open October 4, 2014. The museum is 75% funded by admission, gift shop sales and donations. The total expense for the exhibit is roughly $20,000 and we are looking to find additional donations to help with the design, installation, and new exhibit expenses.
Ava Gardner was born and raised in Johnston County, and the museum that honors her life and career is located in Smithfield, NC. Ava remains an inspiration for designers that favor the glamourous Hollywood era of the 40s and 50s. They say some stars just have the "it" factor and Ava had it in spades.
Any support fans of Ava Gardner can give for this exhibit will be greatly appreciated by the board of directors, as we continue to work each and every day to keep the museum solvent and give our visitors a wonderful experience.
