Medical bill

Hi my name is Kristen Willard and I honestly don't know where to start, but we have hit our lowest point and have no choice but to ask for help. Two years ago my now 5 year old was in the hospital very sick for eight days. The doctors were stumped to what was causing him to be so sick and kept running tests and doing exams. We have a $3,000 deductible and we are able to save enough each month for the deductible incase something like this happens. Every year for the last 5 years we have had an event where we have met our deductible and it's all catching up to us. When all was said and done we owed them around $8,000 after insurance. I paid them a total of $3,200-$3,500 from all the combined bills then the hospital stay bill came and I missed two months of payments because of holidays and then I was admitted to the hospital for an appendectomy that following January (start of a new deductible ), things didn't go well with that procedure and I had to go back twice which resulted in bills stacking and a lot in lost wages from missing so much work. When we finally had the money that third month for another payment on his account they had informed me his bill was sent to collections because of the missed payments, collections wasn't willing to work with me on a payment plan because what I could afford was a lot lower than they wanted each month and we kept falling further behind because of the other medical bills. Friday they started garnishing my husband's wages for Brayden's hospital bill and we can't live on what is left over after the garnishments. I spoke with the collection agency Friday about what we can do and he said the total needs to be paid and we can't do a payment plan because of where we are at with it now. I'm supposed to call Monday to talk to their lawyer and the collection agency to hopefully somehow pay so we can stop the garnishments ASAP. We are honesty doing all we can to make ends meet as far as working opposite schedules to pay as little in daycare as possible to selling everything we can for extra cash. We never ask for help but this is the one time we actually need it and not sure what we are supposed to do. As hard as this is, I would like to ask for financial assistance. Our total bill is $4,893.47.
