Puerto Rico nursing home in crisis

As you are all aware Puerto Rico has suffered widespread devastation due to hurricane Maria.  Puerto Rico's Gov. Ricardo Rosselló called Maria the "most devastating storm to hit the island this century, if not in modern history,”.  Due to the magnitude of the storm it could be 6-12 months before power is fully restored. The entire population of 3.4 million people has been left without power, and the people of Puerto Rico are running out of supplies.  Due to the hurricane, Puerto Rico is now “state of emergency”. The Red Cross, FEMA, police, and firefighters have been working tirelessly to help all the families in need.  But, more help is needed.

My mother Carmen Vazquez, is  the owner of a nursing home in Villalba, Puerto Rico.  It is for her, and the people of the town, that I am asking you for help. Although they are alive, her nursing home and the town suffered from floods, and severe damage to homes and businesses . The town is now in desperate need of food, water, flashlights, and medication. 

Therefore I am reaching out to ask help in raising money for the people of Villalba.  Help for funds to purchase goods for people who have been left without the most basic supplies, like clean drinking water.  Please think of this as if this was your own family. Let’s stand together and help the people of Villalba.
