Joe Hennen -Battle to Beat the Odds

Donation protected
On Saturday August 1, 2015, Joe's life was forever changed. He suffered a spinal injury as a result of a freak swimming accident on Lake Bemidji. His C5 vertebrae was fractured and his spinal cord was severely bruised. He had stabilization surgery but his initial diagnosis is no movement below the chest.

Joe is in the ICU and will eventually be transferred to a rehabilitation center where he will undergo further treatment.

He is 28 years old and a lover of hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. Originally from Shakopee, MN he now works as an electrician in Bemidji. Surrounded by his mother Pam, father Bill, older sister Kelly and husband Mike, younger sister Kim and fiancé Justin, his girlfriend Kelsie and her daughter Bella, and countless other friends and family there is no question that he is an absolute joy to be around. With his great personality, unbeatable sense of humor, and strong-willed mindset we know he is out to prove all the statistics wrong.

Joe and his family are accepting any and all support no matter how big or small. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Although the road ahead is long we know it will eventually lead him back to where he is happiest, on the lake.
