My family needs your help

This is my brother, Ruben. He loves hiking, he loves fishing, he loves going on road trips, and he also had a side job painting houses which he loves, but most of all, he loves his family. We have an extensive family tree. His nephews, his nieces and many a cousin all look up to him. He would offer the shirt off his back to help someone out. But recently, something happened that would alter everyone's world.

On Friday night, he wound up in the hospital with bleeding in his brain. He would then lapse into a coma and then airlifted to Hartford Hospital where he would remain in a comatose state for the next few days. Between Tuesday and Wednesday he had a brain hemorrhage and around noontime on Wednesday he was declared brain dead. Since he is an organ donor, his organs will go to qualified recipient awaiting transplants.

Everyone is in a state of shock over this sudden loss. No one was really prepared for the eventual inevitable. My brother was loved universally. He didn't deserve this. It wasn't supposed to be his time and now my family, especially my mother and sisters are left with the burden of this sudden and devastating loss.

I have started this GoFundMe to help ease that burden to not only help with the funeral expenses but also with my brother's mounting medical expenses from his hospital stay.
