Dean's MidAtlantica

LAY IT ON THICK –

Dean Rosenthal
is, conceivably, the Mid-Atlantic's most iconic artist with his singular mash up of old blues, folk and R&B and his latest recorded effort, titled MID-ATLANTICA, has taken a village to bring close to fruition and release. From the quirky opening tune “Baltimore Marilyn” to the Dave Chappell Fender Telecaster fueled “Backwater Catcalls” to the laid back “Lay It On Thick” the album works its way through instrumentals, shouts and barrel house blues. Joined by friends Jimmy Jacobs, Tom Fridrich, Dave Chappell, Andy Hamburger, Larry Melton, Gary Wright, Leah Weiss and Herb Wheatley, and recorded at Studio 33 in Harwood, MID-ATLANTICA is a culmination of years of Dean's explorations through blues, folk, rock and R&B.

The songs have been recorded and are waiting final stages of production (mixing, mastering, manufacture, promotion, licensing, etc.) but the process is always dependent on financing, and the reality of the working musician is that you squeeze out what you can, when you can, while still trying to perform, eat, pay your bills and get your art out to the world. Dean Rosenthal is no exception. Longtime musical collaborators Jimmy Jacobs and Tom Fridrich have helped shepherd the tunes this far but now it's time for fans to step in and get the CD to the finish line. Any contribution gets us closer to that goal and any contribution of $15 or more gets you a signed copy of MID-ATLANTICA. But we’re also sure there are folks who want to be more intimately involved in the project. The CD has yet to be printed so we’re looking for a couple of  “angel” investors who can afford to be special contributors with a $1500+ donation, putting their name directly on the CD as EXECUTIVE PRODUCER. This contribution is time sensitive - we’re laying out the CD as you read this! Check with Dean directly or any of the MID-ATLANTICA team members (Jane, Lisa, Emil, Tom or Jimmy) to get the details.  As team treasurer, Tom is listed as the beneficiary of this project, but the ultimate beneficiary will be you - the blues, folk, and R&B music lover!

Thanks for your help in advance. Let’s get this music out to the world!
