Help me save my beautiful wife

My Beautiful Amazing Wife the hospice nurse that helps everyone.

This all really started about a year ago when Cassie was driving to see her patients. She had a crack in her windshield and the light would bother her eyes. So we made her a eye appointment with a great doctor in Amarillo.

On her first appointment the found a abnormality on her retina and she was prescribed medicine to make it shrink in size. We were to have monthly fallow-up appointment witch we went to faithfully and her eye healed well.
On her last appointment to check her eye in November of 2015, I was driving and she asked me could I see the reflectors on the side of the road with out turning my head ? I told her yes and that we need to tell her ophthalmologist that she cant see peripherally out right eye when we see him.

Her abnormality on her retina was completely gone and she stated to Dr Eddie that she couldn’t see peripherally. He did some tests and things started moving very fast around that office. As nurses we know that’s never a good thing. The glaucoma specialist comes in after they have run vision field tests and what felt like 10 other tests and told us that we need to get a stat MRI that she either has a tumor or a aneurism. Now this is all in one day November 20 2015. After a very long week we got the MRI results and no tumor so more eye tests and a lumbar puncture in December her eyesight is getting worse and starting to affect her left eye.

We were refered To Texas best neuro-opthamologist in Dallas so off we go. He finds that my beautiful wife’s optic-nerves are being crushed by the pressure in her brain and schedules another MRI. The results of that they find a pineal tumor in her brain on January 2nd of 2016 her 34th birthday.

So to save the eyesight she has left we are booked for surgery. The 4th of January for the right eye and the 11th of January for the left. Both surgery’s were a success to some point it has saved what eyesight she has left ,but the head aches and pressure have not been addressed she is currently on 12 different medications to function at this point and she only took 10 days off of work to recover for both surgery’s. We both worked through all of this and I begged her to take time off. But being the caring dedicated nurse she is she said, " my patients need me and so do the people at work."

We drive to Dallas once a week for fallow up appointments 6 hours down and 6 hours back home.

On May 2nd of 2016 cassie got a appointment with the top neurosurgeon In Texas Dr Dong Kim at Memorial Herman hospital he ordered a lumbar puncture and told us with normal results from that that test he would like to book her for a open crainiotomy to remove the tumor in 6 weeks that’s the 11th of April 2016. He told us we will have to stay in Houston for 16 days and it will be 2 months before she is back to work.

Insurance pays for all of her procedures and we both work and scrimp and save every cent we have to drive to these appointments.
Our tax returns are gone. I have sold my boat all my tools and anything I have of value to keep our home and our kids fed while we find a way to take care of my beautiful wife Cassie.
She is the most kind and beautiful person I have ever known. She gives her self selflessly to others every day with a smile that glows so bright it lights everyone day no matter how she is feeling. She is my best friend and makes me strive to be a better person. She is my hero.
She made me promise I would not drop out of school because she knows what my degree would mean for our family and she would kick my butt if I quit.

There is not a kinder sweeter soul in this world than her please help us.

This is the eye surgery she just had done in January.
