This past week our world was rocked when we received the news that our youngest grand-daughter, 19 month old “Maddie” has neuroblastoma cancer.
How could this seemingly perfectly healthy beautiful child be stricken by such a horrific illness? There are no words…..
This week will begin a battery of tests to determine how to best attack this inoperable monster, and to confirm that the cancer has not spread.
Our Maddie is a fighter! She is determined and relentless. (So much so that her daddy has nicknamed her his “Little Bulldog”). She is also a tenderhearted little one who is always quick to give you hugs and kisses. Her smile lights up our world!
We pray with all our hearts that as Maddie travels down this path, that The Lord will have mercy on her and send his healing grace upon her. We humbly ask all of you to pray for her parents, Kevin and Angie, and for all of our family.
The uncertainty of what lies ahead is daunting. Never did we think that one of grandchildren would be the subject of a request for help such as this.
Lastly, but not most importantly, we ask that you consider a donation to help Kevin and Angie with what is to come. The time each of them will be spending away from their jobs will most certainly have a financial impact upon them for the foreseeable future. It would make a tremendous difference and most certainly lighten their load if the financial burden could be lessened even slightly.
If you are not able to make a donation, we thank you for your prayers. Our hope is that if together, we storm the heavens with prayers, The Lord will answer them.
