Help Lauren Walk Again

On August 30th, 2015, Lauren was involved in a car accident. She was a passenger in the car along with 5 other students. We are all thankful they are all alive. While the other occupants of the car substain little to moderate injuries. Lauren was not so lucky. She has not been released from the hospital and remains in ICU. She was the one who has sustained the most critical injuries with a broken and fractured spine, permanent damage to her spinal cord, suffered internal bleeding and a punctured lung. She is on a feeding tube and trying to overcome infections from the multiple surgeries.
Lauren is unable to walk and has been told by doctors that she more than likely will not be able to walk again and will need constant medical care. We have hope and we pray within time she will improve.
Just starting life.... Lauren was on her Varsity high school cheerleading squad and such a cheerful and energetic person with a smile that can light up a room. You couldn't help but smile when you heard her voice or saw her face. She recently graduated from high school, turned eighteen and started working her first job. Lauren has grown into a beautiful young lady, inside and out. She has the potential to be the next VS model.
Lauren has always been a part of our family, like a daughter and a sister. She needs her spirit to be lifted and it breaks our hearts to see Lauren this way. Each day she is struggling and trying to cope with what has happened and what lies for her in the future. She has a long recovery ahead of her.
She was always there for others and now she and her family could use your help. Laurens wish is to walk again, be back in her own bed.
We are asking for assistance in giving this gift in helping Lauren and her family for the necessary things that the insurance may not cover. In addition, this will help with other expenses such as; wheel chairs, ramp building, transportation to appointments and therapy and the going medical treatments and therapy that may not be covered by the insurance carrier.
This is why we created this GOFUNDME.COM account for the family to help tell Lauren’s struggle. ALL donations will be handled by GOFUNDME.COM and sent to the family directly. Although, this goal will not cover even a portion of the expenses it will help the family now with what is needed.
