Casey was left in a metal nest box for months. Her legs became splayed, and her joints are about fused. Her hips and legs will not allow her to stand or walk. Without surgury soon, she will have to be put down. She is very loving and smart. She loves to snuggle, can say several words, i love you, mama, baby, and hello. Ive had her for 2 weeks, and cannot find funds for her to have the surgury the vet says is the only chance she has. PLEASE, PLEASE help Casey.

I want you all to see what you helped do. Casey had his other leg operated on yesterday. She didn't remove the pins from the first surgery yet, she wanted more bone growth. Here is Casey sanding for the first time in his life. Thank you all so much for helping this baby. You are amazing!

Casey leg is getting stronger. He is getting more grip in his foot, and is wanting to perch. I will be so happy when the left leg gets operated on, so he will be able to stand up straight. Thank you all for your help with Casey. You saved his life. Without these surgeries he would of had to be put down. Dr. Power told me that the first time she saw him. You have not only made it possible for him to get to walk for the first time, but you saved his life. You will never know how much I appreciate it. By the end of August, he should be able to take his first steps upright. It took about 2 weeks last surgery for him to use the leg. We are so close to our goal. Please help us get the last $65.00 to get to our goal. Thank you all for supporting Casey, and saving his life

Casey had his check up and imaging done on his right leg yesterday. The leg looked good, the bone is fusing well, but Dr. Power said she was going to leave the pins in until his next surgery so she wouldn't have to put him to sleep 2xs in that short a time. Caseys next surgery is scheduled for the 12th of August at 8 am. She took several pictures of Caseys leg, and is going to discuss him at the Symposium she is going to. Thank you all so much for helping this little guy. He has such will and determination to walk. Im going to try to get a video to show you all what you have made possible for little Casey. There is no way I can ever thank you all enough

This is what your help had already done for Casey. He hooks his bad leg on the chair arm, and stands on the leg that has had surgery. This is all because of you. With the next surgery, he will be able to stand and walk. You guys are amazing. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much
This is what your help has done. 1 to go

Did you have the bird gender tested? I see she's and he's in the updates. I donated and was curious.

Really happy to see that Casey is getting the help she needs. I have a cockatiel who was a former breeder and it's very obvious. Thank you so much for putting the time in to help this bird.

Breeders must be stopped. One bird suffering like this is too many. Thank God you found her and are willing to go the extra mile to help her. I wish I could give more. I've had many former breeder birds come into the rescue missing toes, arthritis, eye problems. This is a tragedy and a crime.

I cannot provide money as I am not rich, but I have a big place. If baby macaw needs a place, please send me the baby. I have spare room and a huge cage.
