***URGENT 911 EMERGENCY***
BROKEN BACK ~ CRUSHED PELVIS & HIPS
JOSHUA NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
2 year old Josh is the newest major medical / critical care addition to the Friends Of Emma Medical Rescue family ~ having come to us as an emergency transfer this afternoon from the local shelter.
We don't have a lot of information regarding how he came to be so badly injured or who exactly dropped him at the shelter - but what we do know is that Joshua is in a very serious situation and we've not a moment to waste!
We took him immediately from the shelter over to emergency where it was determined that he has suffered a shattered pelvis, hips and fractured spine.
Repair (if possible) of this great extent of damage can only be attempted by an orthopedic specialist - obviously not available immediately, this being a holiday - so Joshua is currently on a strong pain management / sedation / stabilization regimen as we work to raise the funding necessary to move forward with surgical treatment with ortho as soon as we can get on the books to proceed.
We MUST MUST MUST have funding in place in order to move forward for Josh - - he had no time left at the shelter and HAD to be pulled by rescue or be euthanized - - we know he has a chance of survival - but ONLY WITH YOUR HELP!!
