Yasuji Maruyama was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in November of 2018. It later spread to his liver whilst he was receiving chemotherapy treatments bi-weekly. He had to undergo surgery to relieve the cancer that was developing from his colon. This was to help lessen the size of the initial tumor in his colon and help stabilize his body. After this procedure however, his appendix had become inflamed risking infection.  In fear of infection, he had to stop chemotherapy to focus on the condition of his appendix. Yasuji was on the road to counteracting any problems in his appendix but unfortunately his cancer had started to grow again. This inevitably lead to the degradation of his body until he peacefully passed in his sleep.  He is a loving father survived by his five children and a wonderful wife. Whilst being healthy, he was working as a contractor. And anyone that had work done from him can agree how much passion he put into his work.

We are raising money because my father was the main source of income  and will also lessen the burden on his wife, as she is working hard to take over his responsibilities. Financial support will also go towards his medical bills and for ongoing needs for this year. We thank everyone who supported Yasuji during this hard time. Spending  all the extra time with him thanks to all the support we received was truly a blessing. We plan to keep him as well as all those who supported in our hearts as we move on forward.
