Sarah is selfless and has never asked for anyone to help. A vibrant young woman who deserves to walk down the aisle with beautiful hair. Alopecia is a bitch, with no funding anywhere for real hair wigs for people over 18. These wigs cost up to $3000.
This is Sarah’s Story
Alopecia Universalis is the advanced stage of Alopecia Areata where the auto immune system mistakingly attacks the hair folicals in the body. It leaves you with no hair on your body and scalp, including eye lashes and eyebrows.
This has not only been a physical journey for me but an even tougher emotional one, but i am very lucky to have an amazing support system with my family and fiancé. Josh has been by my side through the highs and the lows of this journey with me and has helped me to regain my confidence and self esteem I had once lost and I am very grateful. Although I have lost my hair I am healthy and can do everything I wish to do in my life, and this journey has just made me a stronger, more determined person :)
