#bring Laverne home

Our friend Laverne Thomas went to New York on holiday and never returned.
She is currently homeless on the streets of New York ( the bronx) and has been there for 3 and a half years. She is suffering from mental health and is sleeping in a park.
She had a beautiful home here and a job.
We have been in contact with the British embassy and their advice is to go over and persuade her to go into the New York office where they can help with emergency travel documents to return home.
They will not look for her nor will they deport her unless she makes herself aware to the local authorities I.e commits a crime, this will never happen as Laverne's nature is an honest one. so our only hope of getting our friend home is to be able to go there and bring her home.
Laverne may need immediate health assistance and also new clothes, warm food. A flight home and the cost of the travel documents.
Im sure 3 and a half years of living rough would of taken its toll on her.
Laverne is a beautiful, kind person and would never choose the streets but her mental health has taken over and she is vulnerable and not able to make rational decisions for yourself.
It's been like a grief to us and would be so grateful if you could help us help our friend.
Everyone deserves to be surrounded with people that love them, to have a bed and and a warm meal. This will only be possible if we get Laverne back to England where we can get her help for her mental health.
