Thumper's Surgery Fund

Furever Friends Animal Rescue of Brunswick County has taken on a very special cat who was rescued by Pender County Animal Control. PCAC found the cat, who we are calling "Thumper", with exposed bone on both front legs.  Her left paw is completely missing and her right paw is so badly mangled the tissue has died and it will require amputation.  Sadly, it appears that someone may have done this to her intentionally, since tape was found wrapped tightly around her right paw. The cruelty of this case is mind boggling, but the spirit of this cat is amazing.  She deserves a chance at life, but allowing her that chance will require surgery and prosthetics.  Vets at NC State have been consulted and she will travel there this week.  Costs for her surgery and care are estimated at $5000.  Please help us help Thumper.
