Amber's life-saving T-cell fund

My friend, Amber Lentz was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012 and has gone through radical surgery and been on chemotherapy on and off since then. At the time of the surgery, her oncologist gave her a ten percent chance of surviving a year. Her doctor recently told her that the latest line of chemotherapy is not as effective as hoped and now she will have to stay on it until end of life. She did not take this news well.
Because of the risks involved with internal bleeding, etc, her doctor has also advised her that she needs to stop
riding and training horses, which has been her life for so many years. Which means no income. A very frightening position to be in.
She did some research and found an opportunity to participate in a clinical trial for T-cell therapy at City of Hope. Her first appointment with the Dr. in charge of the clinical trial is on March 30, 2015. There is an obstacle in the way – because the hospital only accepts certain types of insurance, while she gets this sorted out, she is on a cash payment basis for the preliminary tests and screening. Not to mention now having no income from her previous job. The insurance issue could take months to resolve and in the meantime, she would miss out on participating in the trial.
Please help Amber get the T – cell therapy so she can hopefully get off chemotherapy and back to living life!
Thank you!
