Dear friends, family, and kind hearted community. UPDATE - July 2020, Healing is going well. Able to walk 5 blocks to the beach, go to the store and do a little yoga. One stitch abscess that is still getting better. Starting to get more comfortable with my ileostomy pouch. Received 20K Hospital bill, will keep this up to help pay for healthcare costs. So grateful to be alive, so grateful for this campaign and everyone’s support...UPDATE - February 2020 I’m back in the Hospital after having emergency colorectal surgery! Long road to recovery!!! I’ve also had to find an apartment as time ran out on the gifted home!! Stressful to say the least! My costs continue to rise as insurance only covers half of the Hospital bills and now I will have to pay for an apartment!!! Any help or support is greatly appreciated!!! The good news is once I recover from this I will have a whole new lease on life! Two years ago I had my first run in with Ulcerative Colitis. Within a year I was able to get out of the hospital, heal and get off all my meds. Then I moved to Miami Beach and soon found myself with uncontrollable diarrhea. I was going to the bathroom 12 times or more per day. Unable to keep fluids down and losing weight fast. I was terrified that this could be happening all over again. I found Dr. Michael Hall Longevity Clinic. He made a house call and literally saved my life with fluids and vitamins, then set me up at Mercy Hospital. I ended up in the Hospital for 16 days. There were some complications at first including a blood clot, eventually I started coming around and have been out for a week, getting a tiny bit stronger every day. I’m on steroids and biologic drugs. I’m eager to get my life back so I can continue to help others. As a licensed massage therapist my passion is to serve others and remind them of their true light within. I also instruct private yoga, offer biodynamic craniosacral and photography sessions. It will be four to six months until I can get back on my feet and my savings are dwindling rapidly from all the costs. I’m eternally grateful to Nancy and Alan Manocherian who provided me with temporary housing. My expenses are $2,000/month, medical bills even with insurance are already in the $ 18-20,000 range, and co-pays, Dr. Hall, supplements, medications, and holistic therapies will run another $10,000 Any donation towards my healing will be greatly appreciated.
