Help Save Theodore

Thursday morning I woke up to my everyday routine. Theodore sleeps in bed with me every night. I went to get up and Theodore wouldn't get up... I called him several times to come to me and nothing. He was just looking at me with confusion. Then I realized my dog was not able to walk or just in general MOVE at all. I then called my Vet, River Valley Veterinary Hospital and headed there right away to get to the bottom of what was wrong with Theodore. After a thorough visit Theo was sent home. We made the decision to go further and got in touch with a Neurologist at Piper Memorial and met with him that same day. The neurologist Dr.Ben Olson began with a tick bath(first thinking tick paralysis). That was eventually ruled out. We decided that we would begin IV steroids the next day. That following day Theodore began with having  a full blood work up by River Valley Vet. After the full blood work up that friday morning, I went back to the Neurologist Dr.Ben Olson that afternoon to seek more answers and begin IV steroids for my Theodore.. With all Theodore’s symptoms the neurologist said Theo needs an MRI to find out why his legs won’t work. How is it possible my perfect little Yorkie is now a quadriplegic paralyzed from the neck down???  I had a little active boy so happy wednesday night and now this…. His blood work came back beautiful, Theodore is a perfectly healthy dog other than this unknown life changing event. My dog is only 6 years old this is by far the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen or gone through with my fur-son! Having to express his bowels, syringe feed him and not know what he’s thinking accept he’s scared and I’m scared for him. He shakes and twitches and looks at me with his big brown eyes, saying,” mom please help me..”   To diagnose what is going on would be an MRI. If you can find it in your heart to please help this helpless little boy we would both be forever grateful. My family and I can’t handle seeing our little boy suffer any longer.. We are trying to do everything we can, but still it's not enough. If you can donate anything the smallest amount will help save Theodore.
