Massage School

Donation protected
With all the things in this world you could donate to, I bet you are probably asking yourself, "why would I donate to someone going to massage school?". Well let me tell how it will personally impact me and my future.

Having the security of funds to go to school in itself is a blessing. I went to a local community college for 2 years all while working 2-3 jobs at the same time. Late hours, early morning, and very very long days all to make sure I could pay tuition and make sure I could continue my education. At some point I physically and mentally could not put myself through that anymore and have been taking a break from school. I have been dreading the thought of going back to school mostly because it would mean going back to that lifestyle. Originally I was taking classes for Nursing, but it never quite felt like a passion of mine. It wasn't until the last 6 months did I feel a true calling in life to massage therapy.

I have always known that I was gifted when it came to massages. Always the same repeated question, "why don't you go to massage school?". It had never been a thought I gave much to until one day, while I was in a meeting, I heard "Go to massage school". I had never heard God before, and swore up and down that the people who have said they did were just crazy, but in that moment, clear as day, I heard those very words.

So I began my Journey! I went to a massage preview class, met with a councilor, and have officially been accepted into the Oregon School Of Massage. The cost of tuition is 12,000.  You probably ask again "why should I donate?". Supporting me in this journey would set my life up for success. It would allow me to focus on my schooling without worrying if I have the funds to do so. I also believe in community, and how we can bless one another whether that be in the form of a donation or even a prayer.

If you know me, well then you know I pride myself in being the independent woman I am today, so asking for help has never been easy. (unless you happen to be my brother in law because let me tell you that guy is forever helping me with car things.) Being 100% financially independent from my parents since 17, working more than full time, and all the little/big things life throws at you, has shaped me to be a hard working dedicated person. Today, I set that aside and ask friends, family, and even strangers, if you can, would you mind donating? I know that not everybody has a lot of money, but would you consider starting with $1 because that $1 will help even if you think otherwise. I will also be linking my amazon "wish list" because I know for some people there is a reassurance knowing exactly what your donation is going to. I just want to say thank you in advance, and I look forward to the day I am able to pay this forward. Shalom!
