Gus’s surgery

I've started this go fund me page for my daughter and her partner as their beautiful collie Gus was sadly knocked over last night. Gus is more than a pet to them, he’s a big part of the family and mean absolutely everything to them.
Gus had gotten out of the garden when the bad weather had blown their gate open, we think he was startled and ran off.  After spending a couple hours looking for him, he was eventually found and rushed to the emergency vets. After being seen they have determined he has broken his femur with few bumps and grazes. he now has to have an x-ray and surgery.
As everybody knows this time of the year can be a financial struggle even at the best of times, this situation has been made even harder as unfortunately my son in law is being made redundant in January. 
After phoning around numerous vets, there is no option for a payment plan and would have to pay the sum in full on completion of surgery,  which unfortunately isn't an option right now given their current circumstances and them also having a young baby.
This isn't the route we wanted to go down but unfortunately, there are no other options and we would be extremely grateful for any help we can get.
