Torchsong Entertainment needs your help to secure our venue for the rest of our 2018 season! Torchsong is a not for profit small theater company in Portland, OR that produces unique and original cabarets and jukebox musicals. We do not have our own theatrical space so we rent a venue in North Portland called The Headwaters Theater.
We are raising the $1600 needed to put a 50% deposit on the dates for our August show and a 50% deposit for our October show. Our August production is "Star-Crossed", an original adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet set to metal and classic rock with a Heaven Vs. Hell twist. Our October production is our yearly Halloween themed cabaret called "Villains & Vixens" that features spooky themed music and hilarious parody songs.
If we don't put the deposits down by the end of the week, the venue will give our reserved dates to other parties wishing to rent the space at the same time. We will then be without a venue for our last 2 productions of the season, which have already been cast and begun rehearsals.
We are a low budget/ no budget company that has survived through personal funds, ticket sales, and a few fundraisers. Because we have yet to gain 501 c 3 status, we do not have corporate sponsorships or receive large personal donations.
Please help us secure our venue so we can finish our 2018 season!
