Save Little Horizons Preschool!
Little Horizons Preschool of Old Orchard Beach, Maine is being forced to move. The school is currently located at a local church. Unfortuneately, the church is not renewing the lease, after several attempts to come to an arrangement. As of this moment, Little Horizons will be homeless come this fall of 2016.
Little Horizons has been educating children for over 30 years, lead by Monica Lovecky. Miss Monica has given her heart and soul to the community while running the school. She has kept the costs low for to make sure that all kids have the opportunity to attend. In doing that for us all, she hasn't been able to put enough away for a rainy day fund to relocate her school. Now it's our time to help her. Monica and Little Horizons Preschool needs our help to continue.
In the 30+ years that the school has been in operation, they have helped countless kids learn their ABC's, numbers, and social skills to prepare them for kindergarten. She has tought generations of families. I was a graduate of Little Horizons Preschool, as were my brothers. My daughter will be finishing her last year, and my brother's children have graduated as well. Monica has been an influential part of the community for over 3 decades. She's been my teacher, my neighbor and my family friend and she wouldn't hesitate to help anyone in need.
We are raising funds to finance moving the school to a new location so that Monica can continue educating our children. 100% of funds raised will be going to the school. Any new location will need to be fitted to the needs of the school and brought to code, which requires funds or labor. Donations can be accepted here.
