$2000 Needed For Post Production!!

Two years ago I lost my beautiful grandmother to suicide. She was my best friend. There were no signs, no note, and no good-bye. My grief has been very difficult, as how does a teenager cope with suicide? There is guilt, shame and question marks. I blamed myself as I sat with her everyday for six weeks after her stroke helping her learn to read and write again, why did I not see the signs? I thought she was ok and recovering well. I was left with so much loss and anger when she died. As a professional actor I turned to writing to process my grief. Film is a powerful medium and I have a powerful message to say. Teens need a voice, this is my voice. I have written ‘Are You Ok?’ a short film, this is a true story, my true story and the story of many teens. I need a total of $12,000, with my starting goal as $6000 to get things started and another $6000 for a top end professional short film, with my focus on Cannes, Sundance, Long Beach LA, and Australian Film Awards. If I’m going to do this I’m going all the way to the top! David Raynor from Badhatfilms is on board, as director and co-producer. I’m the scriptwriter, co-producer and lead actor, acting myself. Along with a professional teen cast, and professional crew. All actors and crew have donated their time for free. Now I need the general community to back with funding this really important film. A global message of teens needing support and a voice through suicide and personally this is my healing and love for my grandmother who I dearly miss.
