Claire Thuo is a lovely 3 year old girl from Kenya who enjoys, among many other things, playing with her two wonderful sisters. She is the daughter of Gidraf Thuo Mwangi and AnnChristine Kagendo Mutua.
In April 2017, just as she was starting pre-kindergaten, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and learnt she would need a bone marrow transplant.
Despite receiving two doses of Chemotherapy at Aga Khan hospital, Nairobi, cancerous cells still persisted and she was referred to Apollo Ahmadabad hospital in India for further treatment where she was successfully put on a high dosage chemotherapy trial that cleared the cancerous cells and put her in a position to receive the bone marrow transplant.
Friends and well-wishers like you have personally donated over $36,000 todate to help with the medical costs but additional funding is urgently required to fully cover the expense of the transplant.
