Jake's Mitzvah Project
Tax deductible
My name is Jake Portugal and on April 28th, 2018 I will become a Bar Mitzvah. As part of the Bar Mitzvah process, I am doing a Mitzvah Project. A mitzvah means doing a “good deed.” I love lacrosse and have been playing since I was 5 years old, and I currently play for the Sarasota Seahawks.
Last September I participated in the Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation annual beach lacrosse tournament on Siesta Key and was impacted by the guest of honor at the tournament who has been helped by their foundation.
The Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation supports severely injured and sick lacrosse players and their families.
I want to use my Mitzvah Project to raise money and awareness for the foundation. I like helping people and since I love lacrosse, I think this is the perfect way to incorporate both.
I am very excited for this opportunity to raise money and awareness for the Casey Powell Foundation!
Sincerely,
Jake Portugal
