Austyn Chesser's College fund

I am Austyn Chesser; this year I graduate from Bowling Green High School in Ohio. I am a varsity hockey player, varsity bowler, member of the Key Club, and a member of the varsity lacrosse team, all while maintaining a 4.04 GPA.  I have been accepted into five colleges – the Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, Penn State, and University of Pittsburgh – where I hope to obtain my architecture degree, but I can’t do it without your help.  


I know my mom would give anything to see me walking down the aisle in a cap and gown, hugging my brother as tears run down her face, some from being a proud mother and some from missing me. From bankruptcy to a breast cancer diagnosis, she has endured a lot and still encouraged, inspired, and motivated my brother and me in every possible way. Financially, her breast cancer treatments have put my family in a horrible and frightening position. The money I have raised from countless scholarships, FAFSA grants, college grants, and even money from other family members still leaves me 8 thousand dollars short of my academic dream.


Without your donation, then I guess my high school is the finish line. Twelve years of straight A’s, countless hours of studying, of pushing myself, of my mom risking her health to support me and cheer me on, are all for nothing if I can’t get this money. My future depends on your generosity. I’ve been working my whole life for this opportunity, and now that I have it, I need you to keep it alive for me and make it real. With your donation, I will receive an education, follow my dreams of becoming an architect, raise a wonderful family, and do everything I can to keep this situation from happening to them. In the meantime, it all starts with you.
