Life-Saving Surgery Needed for Asma Mohammed
I was first diagnosed in 2014 with papillary thyroid cancer and have been cared and undergone four surgeries that included thyroidectomy meaning total removal of my thyroid by the same surgeon with additional treatments and procedures to keep it in check. As a result I have been suffering significant vocal changes, neck pain and trouble breathing.
Unfortunately all multiple procedures failed and none of those had succeeded to totally remove the lumps and nodules. They had already developed and stretched from thyroid cells into my trachea or windpipe that convey air to and from my lungs. They are still cancerous which continue to uncontrollably grow.
If at this point not removed and treat the affected nearby lymph nodes by a better high experienced doctors RIGHT AWAY, I will soon be Unable to breath and will be the END OF MY LIFE.
My current Doctor thinks it is a much higher risk to re-operate on me again unless I find a more specialized Physician.
After several searches one Doctor was identified to be my best chance to fight this disease.
Doctor Gary Clayman of Tampa, Florida is considered to be the most experienced in the Recurrent/persistent papillary thyroid cancer surgery with his very high volume experts that can bring this aggressive disease to an end.

After several discussion with Dr Calyman and his team, he gave assurance that he will take my case and operate. This was a great relief that I have finally found a surgeon who can save my life.
He unfortunately, asked for $50,000 upfront payment and as the insurance I currently have does not cover care out of Massachusetts. I did an extensive search trying to get enrolled in some supplemental insurance that covers out of state and in network (where the potential Doctor is affiliated) but to this day, I have NOT been successful in pleading my case and get approved for coverage.
It is unfortunate to be in such circumstances but it is not also a surprise that life can strike with the unexpected at any given time. As you all know none of us wish to ever be in a position to ask for money.
Unfortunately it is a life or death situation. So I decided to drop my shame fight for my life and hope that you will all join me to beat this ordeal.
The idea of gofundme.com came from friends that have watched me suffer and suggested that I should reach out to my family, friends and anyone with a good heart who is willing to save a life. Please be my life line and support me to get through this difficult time so that we can defeat this cancer TOGETHER!!!
