Hi.
My name is Dana, and I am a 19 year old student from South England. My parents are getting divorced, and one requirement of the proceedings that they have both agreed on is that the house (which I currently live in) will be put up for sale in August and hopefully sold within a few months. This is to allow them to both have some extra money to go their separate ways and move on with their lives.
However, despite neither of them having commitments in the city in which the house is located, I do. I will be starting University in September, but cannot move into student accommodation before that time, and additionally, student accommodation will not have enough room to allow me to keep my belongings. Consequently, I will have to find rented accommodation elsewhere.
I already work 3 jobs (one in retail, one in a bar, and one in education), and I am in my final year of college. However, despite this, I do not have enough money for the initial fees of renting, which values to approximately £1500 and I am frightened that I will not have this amount by the time my house is sold and I have to move out.
I wouldn't be here unless I was desperate. I am terrified of not having a roof over my head, and I'm working as hard as I can to make sure that doesn't happen, but I still need a little bit of help. Any amount that you can spare would be appreciated beyond imagining.
