Michelle's Burial Expenses

Donation protected
My sweet wife, Michelle Madsen Larson Cardenas, was born in Springville, Utah, to Gary Madsen and Berenda Rabner Madsen Paulson, on May 15, 1968.  She grew up in Kaysville, Utah.  She and her sister Collette spent wonderful summers with their grandparents, Jay and Elmina Madsen, in Tacoma, Washington.  She married Ronnie Larson, who she later divorced.  While in Tacoma, her wonderful son, DJ Larson was born.
After her divorce, she moved to Tacoma where she lived for many years.

In early 2000, she moved to Yakima, Washington, where several months later, she met and married the love of her life, Juan Vandal Cardenas.  They were married for 17 great years.

Some of those years were difficult, as Michelle struggled with health issues for most of them.  Juan was the best husband, lover, and care-giver possible.  He was chief cook, housekeeper, and everything else she required while she was down. He nursed her through many illnesses and difficulties, but none were as bad as the last when she had sepsis in her leg which was extremely painful and required constant care.  Through it all, Juan was there for her.  He truly lived up to his vows to love her through sickness and health and for better or worse.

While they never had a lot of money and sometimes struggled financialy, their home was full of love.  Michelle loved Juan as unconditionally as he loved her. They shared a love of music and enjoyed a wide circle of  good friends.  They had hoped for a much longer life together, but her health did not allow it.

Michelle passed  away on Monday, May 22, 2017,  just one week and a day after her 49th birthday.  She left us much too soon.

Juan is now faced with funeral expenses that he cannot afford to pay.  He wants her final farewell to be a tribute to her, but right now he cannot do that or anything else without help from family, friends, and others who have caring hearts.

We as a family truly appreciate anything you can give.  God bless.
