On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 (Matt's 38th Birthday), he was struck by another vehicle which cut him off unexpectedly. Matt was riding his motorcycle home to his three beautiful daughters (Gia 19mo, Teagan 7yrs, Kyli 11yrs) and wife Jenna for his birthday dinner. Matt was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center immediately where he has been in resuscitation, while undergoing countless surgeries in the ICU. Matt's latest surgery to repair his right dominant arm resulted in the loss of limb to save his life. His broken femur was successfully repaired and the best medical team in the world is working around the clock in attempt to lower his damaged Kidney levels with dialysis. He also has extensive head trauma, which resulted in a mild stoke.
Matts family is in desperate need of help both financially, and emotionally, as they face a lifetime of recovery and rehabilitation.
There is no estimation when he will leave the ICU. As compounding medical fees add up for his family, along with travel expenses for them to care for him, they need help now more than ever.
Matt recently began working as a Union Carpenter in Seattle for Hoffman Structures Inc., where he quickly proved himself as one of the hardest working, most knowledgeable individuals on the team. He loves working, providing for his family and raising his daughters. Matt is a wonderful Father, Husband, Son, Brother, and lifelong friend to many, and needs your help.
Please donate any amount you can to help Matt and his family get through these tough times and send your prayers their way.
Love,
Matt and Family
