Scooter for Maria

Maria...... a sweet Spanish women next to me at the hospital has a few months up to 1 year to live. She suffers from incurable lung inflammation and will be going home with oxygen tanks to spend the rest of her next few months up to 1 year of life.  She lives alone and she does not speak English. We have been communicating through a translator app on my phone.  She does not have any support at home and no one to advocate for her living conditions. Her home has no hot water and infested with rodents. 

She has 1 son, her beloved son, who is trying his best to quit drugs. He came to the hospital with no money for food, he had to eat hers... Her other son died at a very young age and she has no husband..

I’m trying to raise money for Maria to purchase a mobility scooter so she can do her daily activities such as pick up groceries, stroll to the park, go to bank to pay bills etc...  The hospital provides a wheel chair but both wheeling the chair or walking with oxygen tank are strenuous and cost her more oxygen !

Anything over and above I’m hoping can help her son go to rehab And/or improve her living conditions.
