Help a Writer with a Smart Pen

In November of 2011 I wrote a book called "Gloria's Secret" as part of National Novel Writing Month. The task was overwhelming and by December I wanted it off my desk, so I self published the story of a summer of hell for a 14 year old girl. An unlikely individual got in touch with my book and has requested a sequel, which I am eager to write.
In pulling out my favorite Livescribe Echo 2GB pen I discovered it has sat unattended for far too long and no longer works. I would like to replace this pen, but am lacking funds due to extensive doctor's bills. I am desperately trying to prioritize, but with medical appointments several times a week it would be a real life saver to be able to write notes and my novel in the waiting room of one of these offices.
The pen is quite unique in that it will allow me to upload my handwritten notes and transfer them into typed notes with the simple click of a button. My now deceased Echo has lasted well over five years, so it is well worth the $119.95 that it costs.
Maybe you noticed that I am asking for slightly more than the purchasing price. I am also requesting two packs of pen refills and using a 5% coupon for the purchase.
I realize that asking for GoFundMe funds is quite a stretch for something that may seem trivial to some and excessive to others; yet having had a smart pen in the past I recognize its value in the life of a writer. If I didn't have medical needs I could probably purchase the pen on my own, but Higher Powers that be have different plans for my funds.
I would be so thankful to those that contributed to this cause that I can't find the words to express my gratitude. A few cents, a dollar or two, just a tiny bit, I would be just as grateful as if you had personally handed me the pen neatly wrapped and with a hug.
