The Laotian American National Alliance (LANA) is a 501C3 non-profit with a mission to advance the social and economic well-being of Laotian Americans in the United States through civic participation and public policy advocacy.
In support of our Laotian American students' quest for higher education attainment, we will be offering two scholarships. We will be awarding $1000 to a student accepted into an accredited undergraduate program and another $1000 for a student accepted into a trade or technical school.
Our goal is to raise an additional $5000 by August 4th, 2016 to award additonal scholarships to Laotian American students. Help us show the younger generations that we support their dreams of higher education.
Your contribution will help students such as Brittney and Nataly:
"It is a very difficult to juggle going to school part time and to work a full time and part time job. I work anywhere between 50-70 hours a week to make sure my educational expenses are covered and to help my parents with rent, bills, food, etc. I’m sure there are many other students who are dealing with the same dilemma but with more funds for educational purposes would be a first step to getting out of these types of situations.
