Our Vision
Raising money for MERCY (Maximizing Efforts for Relief Care and Youth) worldwide. It is an amazing organization that helps people thru various efforts - toy drive, blood drive, food and clothing donations, volunteer events, etc. I will personally be donating my blood (hopefully not), sweat, and tear by running a half marathon, and donating my own money to the organization and by registiring myself in the La Jolla Half Marathon on April 27th, 2014. This is not an easy thing for me to do - I ran one half marathon in my life and it was the most difficult physical event I have ever endured. Please show your support for me and this organization I care for by donating - anything helps.

Why We Serve
As a faith-based organization, we are called by the scriptures to have a heart of compassion "“ which we
consider to be "passion in action". Our compassion must be manifested in our daily lives through our
actions: looking after the poor, healing sickness and disease, providing food and shelter and defending
the weak.
Who We Serve
We believe there is one race, the human race. Therefore, we are committed to serving the poor, needy
and less fortunate around the world.
How We Serve
One of the unique qualities of MERCYworldwide that sets the organization apart from many is the
ever growing base of dedicated volunteers, called MERCY Ambassadors, based in MERCY branches in 6
continents. We partner with organizations in our local communities, maximizing efforts to provide relief
and care, and serving the youth.
