Goofy was picked up with Minnie, he is such a trusting boy after humans have let him down. Goofy is very thin his collar dangles on his neck because it is so lose. He is a loving boy who wants to snuggle if you are rubbing him and stop he will nudge your hand for more. Goofy's hold is up on 9/26/19 and can be killed by shelter staff after that date.

The shelter has started the heartworm positive dogs on ivermectin to help start them on the slow kill method of heartworm treatment. Ivermectin alone does not cure heartworm and does not kill the adult heartworm. Adult heartworm will continue to damage a dog’s organs. Thorough heartworm treatment to cure a dog of the disease consists of diagnostics and a two prong approach to treatment for both the adult or immature heartworm. Veterinary care and supervision is key.
