Nichole Webb Rivera   DARRINGTON, WA

In Remembrence of
Thom Satterlee
Marcy Satterlee
Delaney Webb
Alan Bejvl.

This fund was set up by the quilting community to help support me through the devestating mudslide that struck down 4 members of my family in Oso, Washington on March 22, 2014. We were so successful in our fundraising that we continue to collect funds to be distrubuted directly to the victims of this terrible tragedy that has negatively impacted my entire home town of Darrington, WA.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love, prayers, positve thoughts, gifts and financial support that you have poured out. No words can express how humbled and grateful I am to be in the presence of such giants of compassion and service as all of you.

Love you all sincerely!

Thank you all so much for your support! Your donations have helped us to create a lovely Celebration of Life for my parents, Thom Satterlee, Marcy Satterlee, my daughter Delaney Webb and her fiancee Alan Bejvl. We welcome you to join us at the Holiday Inn at 3501 Pine Street in Everett, WA on April 6, 2014 at 11 AM for a simple service plus lunch and mingling. Your generosity has enabled my nephew David to join us from Texas. It has also enabled us to help a massage therapist who is treating the first responders and recovery workers in Darrington gratis during the month of April. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Per Nichole we have changed the name of the funding to the "OSO Mudslide Memorial". This is to be shared with the entire scope of everyone involved in the Mudslide, as funds come in. We have increased the goal amount as the need is huge. Please share this info with family & friends. Update from Nichole,,,,
Thank you all so much for your lovely thoughts, your prayers and your support. This event was catastrophic for my home town and we plan to use some of the money you are sending for families of other victims of the slide as well. Darrington is a small community and we are all in this together. I love you all so very much. Quilters are an amazing group of people who take care of their own. Heartfelt gratitude to all of you.

Nichole, I was stunned to hear your family is involved in this tragic event. I've been following it on the news like the rest of the world then heard your name came up. I am so very sorry, more than my words can express, for your loss. And for all the hundreds if not thousands of people who have lost love ones in this catastrophic event. I wish I could be there to wrap you in a huge hug. My deepest sympathies.

The Cibolo Creek Quilt Guild in Boerne, Texas had Leslie Tucker Jenison as our speaker last night. She declined our usual honorarium, and was delighted when I suggested that the guild donate it here. The other ladies present were so moved, that they in turn donated to this fund! Quilters, pass the hat at your guild meetings!
