Dear Friends of Angelica,

We have some great news! Angelica has been invited to participate in the international Festival Corale Verona Garda Estate, which takes place in Verona, Vicenza, Lake Garda, and Mantua, Italy, in July. The purpose of the festival is to experience music from different cultures and create international friendships among musicians. One hundred seventy-five choirs, made up of over 6,000 singers, take part in evening concerts in churches, town squares, and theaters in these beautiful venues. Choirs perform individually and in larger groups in a variety of choral works.

Taking part in the Verona Festival will give Angelica the opportunity to further some of the goals that are central to our mission. We will be able to share our unique music and sound; to perform in exquisite sacred spaces dating back centuries; to meet and hear other choirs; and to widen and diversify our audiences. Furthering these goals will help us grow and continue to evolve.

Angelica has been hailed for its "perfect blend and beautiful, transcendent sound." Eugene Sirotkine, former Assistant Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera and director of the New York Metamorphoses Orchestra, describes Angelica as having a "gorgeous sound, rich sonorities, and transparent harmonies." Composer Matthew Harris describes listening to Angelica as "heaven on Earth." We are truly excited by the prospect of bringing our sound to the Festival! For many of the singers in Angelica, participating in an event like the Festival has been a lifelong dream.
