D.C Internship Fund

My name is Molly Green, and I'm currently a political science student at the University of Montevallo. I have always been a good student, heavily involved in my academic pursuits as well as extracurriculars such as Montevallo's College Night and the College Democrats. This year, I was fortunate to be accepted into The Washington Center internship program for Summer 2017. This program is able to connect me with many different potential internship sites to ensure that I'll get an internship in Washington, D.C. that suits my interests. While doing my internship, I will also be taking a class at the Washington Center as well as be provided housing through the program. I'm so thrilled to have been accepted! However, it is definitely not free. It essentially costs the same as a semester of college, and while I have been awarded some financial assistance as well as saved some money, I'm worried I won't be able to cover all the costs. I'm already in about $10,000 of student debt, and with a full year left in school, that's sure to increase. There are currently about $3,055 unaccounted for in the program costs, and any little bit will help me to achieve my dreams of spending a summer interning in D.C. If anyone could donate any amount, it would mean the world to me! Thank you so much!
