Support Boston Marathon Charity & Airman
My Brother, who has developed a passion for running over the last two years, has been fortunate enough to receive a "charity spot" in the Boston Marathon this year. This means, in addition to regular spots that you would qualify for, there are runner spots given to those who will donate toward a charity. In this case, he is raising $2,000 for the "Monique Tubbs Fund" and the "Boston Latin School Association."

I am very excited for Joel because not only is he a great brother who always makes me laugh, he is a loving husband and wonderful father to his adorable 15 month old daughter and mischiveous 8 year old son. He is also an accomplished Staff Sargent in the Airforce having served overseas 3 times and earned the bronze star for bravery in combat. He is currently stationed in Virginia but will be traveling back to his home state of Massachusetts for this exciting event!
This running family runs their own fundraising organization called Running F.A.M "for all military." When they collect donations for their other running events, the donations go to different military causes that affect families. A t-shirt they designed this time last year shows on the back- "American born, running Boston Strong"
I can now also finally announce that Joel will be running along beside his good friend Jennifer who started running the Boston Marathon last year but was unable to finish due to last years tragic events at the finish line. This year Joel will be able to be there to support his friend as she finishes the race!
Please consider donating even $1 to this cause so that he can race on this memorable day. Please email me with questions. Thank you! Amanda
