Eric Eder's Family
I wrote this blogpost in honor of Eric Eder at http://kellykittel.com/blog. My heart goes out to his family. May he rest in peace.
I honestly think I have seen my first "full circle" of KARMA. I have known this family for several years - I have seen Shelly do so much ~ for so many. I have seen the "friend" that Eric has been. A damn good one. I have seen their mother, Jackie, work so hard at a tough job, and loving almost (wink) every minute of it ~ in our schools. Raising 2 kids with a foundation of morals and respect. I didn't have the honor of knowing their father. In a matter of a second, this family experienced their worst nightmare. This "Village" and the family we call "Fisherman" have shown me an enormous amount of faith that "The Golden Rule" really is the way to live my life. My heart is aching for this family as no amount of money will bring this awesome young man back. However, it will lighten the load for them so they can honor Eric in the way he deserves and help his wife and sons try and get back on their feet. One step at a time. It is all a blur for them right now. My arms go around you Shelly and family. Remember that smile. That laugh. He will always be with you. God Bless all of you. And bless you Sandi for giving us this outlet to help. Your acts of kindness will come full circle ~
So happy to be a part of this great cause. Keep it coming! Love and hugs to the Eder family!
GROWING UP AND WORKING ON THE SEA, LIVING IN A FISHING COMMUNITY ON THE EAST COAST,MY HEART FELT PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY.
It is awesome to see how people come together... I live in Astoria a fishing community as well... several years ago "The Lady Cecila" went down in the ocean close to home, the captain David and one of the crew Jay were friends of mine and he left behind a son as well. I know how these people feel. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
This is amazing!!! 834 "Shares" and over $10k raised for this amazing man and family. This goes to show how fond everyone was of Eric... he was so genuine, caring, and loyal with an unforgetable smile which has made everyone go "batshit" crazy (in the words of Jackie) making donations to ensure his little family is taken care of. He will always be in our hearts and everyone will always make sure his family is taken care of. It's times like these when I am proud to call Waldport my hometown.
So sorry to hear about Eric.He was such a nice guy in high school he will be missed
