Igor Novodran passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in a tragic accident while flying his plane.  Igor had a larger than life personality and while he was always looking for his skaters to achieve great things on the ice - Igor truly loved to enjoy life - with a silly joke - big hug and talks of going home to relax with a margarita! It is truly a loss to those of us who knew Igor all of these years and to his students who loved him and especially for his lovely wife, Lana & daughter, Anastasia.

For those of you who would like to remember and honor Igor, we have set up this donation page to help his family with the burdens that this tragedy has left behind, as they try to put the pieces of their lives back together after such a great loss.

Igor, we will miss you.

I had the pleasure of learning some ice dancing and how to fix up a flub and make it look beautiful from Igor (God bless him)! He tried his best to make me look graceful during my earlier days of skating. He was fun to work with; I'll miss his sarcasm and laugh.... Although he and I locked horns on occasion , I'll never forget him and what he taught me. He will be missed. We've all lost a great and talented skater and coach. RIP friend.

Igor coached Camille Boufford through many events including the beautiful Silver and Gold Light Up Night in 2012. He will always be remembered as a great skating coach and a lovely human being. We will miss him and pray that he has comfort watching his skaters grow and develop. God bless you, Igor!

Igor's spirit lives on at ISC - You can still see him in our hallways and working with his students on the ice. His smile, laughter and personality was exceptional. He had a way to make you laugh and smile with him. We will miss him - but will keep his spirit alive in our thoughts and prayers forever.
