Send Our Hult Prize Team To SF!

We are a team of students from Rutgers University of New Brunswick, NJ that have been selected from over 25,000 applicants to participate in the 2016 Hult Prize Regional Finals in San Francisco in March 2016. We are currently looking for funding to help finance the travel expenses for 4 members of our team. We are in need of $3000 to cover the trip´s expenses. 

The Hult Prize Foundation (hultprize.org) is a start-up accelerator for budding young social entrepreneurs emerging from the world’s universities. Named as one of the top five ideas changing the world by President Bill Clinton and TIME Magazine, the annual competition for the Hult Prize aims to create and launch the most compelling social business ideas—start-up enterprises that tackle grave issues faced by billions of people. By presenting at the Regional Finals, our team will be one step closer to winning the grand prize of 1 million dollars. We will use this prize to grow our social venture that works to create opportunity in crowded urban spaces with Change Booths. Change Booths are kiosks in high-traffic areas and offer free access to an easy-to-use Internet interface that includes healthcare solutions, government services, and Google Apps. Users in underserved communities will be able to access Change Booths in convenient locations such as train stations, supermarkets, bus stops, parks, and schools. Change Booths will partner with local businesses, in order to facilitate the roll-out and usage of the booths. 

This is more than an idea- it is an active project.
