Surgery For Hoss My Rescue Dog

This morning my rescue dog Hoss was hit by a car in front of our house. After xrays from the vet. Hoss has a broken femur and 2 fractures in his pelvis. The surgery is estimated to cost $3500-5000. I am told Hoss would make a full recovery if I went thru with the surgery. Otherwise the other option is to put him down. This breaks my heart. I have many friends telling me to start this process.....it is taking everything in me to do this since I am not the type of person to ever ask for help. But knowing if I don't....realistically my only option is letting him go and that is crushing my heart. A bit of history on Hoss......I rescued him a year ago from Wisconsin Boston Terrier Rescue. He was estimated to be between 1 to 3 years old and came from a Puppy Mill where he spent those years being abused...no human affection. If you take the time to read about puppy mills you will see what these animals endure in their life just awful. Hoss has been quit a challenge with learning to trust people.....but yet has a loving heart and loves to snuggle with only me but it's a start. I love Hoss to pieces. I am thankful I was able to give him at least one good year of his life but of course would love to keep giving him more......financially with something this major I cannot do it on my own. So I ask for help.....i need to make a decison quickly.....he is currently at the vet getting IV pain meds and some sedation to keep him comfortable until surgery on Monday or the alternate choice. If I cannot raise enough money......i will take whatever was raised and donate it to local humane society and Rescues in memory of my little baby boy Hoss.
