Walking for Dementia
Donation protected
Hello Everyone
My name is Maggie Strong and I am the Manager of George Brooker House, which is a non profit making organisation, that houses 44 residents who are living with Dementia.
On the 13th October 2018 a team of us will be taking part in the 7.5 km London Memory Walk to raise money for our Residents Fund and a donation will be made to the Alzheimer's Society
As we are a non profit organisation, we have to fund raise for the little extras that can make a huge difference between good and outstanding care.
So what is the difference? For us it is, making sure our Residents are living purpose filled lives, their inner sole is happy, their hearts are full of love.
Person Centred Care is something that we are all passionate about at George Brooker House.
To enable us, to continue to provide outstanding care, we need to purchase more activities that are meaningful and keep our residents engaged.
So far this year, we have built a Sensory Room, which is a place of respite, away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It provides those residents with inner peace and relieves them of their anxieties.
We would like to undertake more projects like this, with the help from you.
Remember every little helps and just a small donation will enhance the life of those who are Living with Dementia.
